Maharashtra Assembly Elections : Through the Years By  Deepak Parvatiyar October 18, 2014 Maharashtra politics in the last three decades invariably revolved around Sharad Pawar and late Bal Thackeray — indisputably the two tallest leaders of Maharashtra politics in recent times.
